Delete Your Word Assessor Account

Word Assessor is a reading-assessment app for teachers, published by Claw Works. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time.

Delete from inside the app — fastest

Open Word Assessor.
Go to the Settings tab.
Under About, tap Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is erased immediately. There is no waiting period and no undo.

Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, email wordassessor@clawworks.com from the address you registered with, subject “Delete my Word Assessor account”.

We complete the deletion within 30 days and reply when it is done. We may first ask you to confirm the request came from the account owner.

What gets deleted

Everything attached to your account, permanently:

Your account and email address
All groups
All students and their names
All units, word lists, and words
All assessment records and results

What is kept

Nothing, in the ordinary case. Your data is removed from the live database immediately and is not retained afterwards. Encrypted backups held by our hosting provider expire on their normal schedule, and your deleted data is never restored from them. If the law requires us to keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself, we keep only that.

Guest sessions

Signing out of a guest session deletes it and everything in it, so there is no account left to remove. If you deleted the app without signing out, the guest account is still on our server — email us at the address above and we will remove it.
